Identify, Prevent & Report Potential Facility Emergency Situations
Nationally recognised single-unit training in identifying, preventing and reporting potential facility emergency situations — spotting and acting on workplace hazards before they escalate into emergencies.
Course overview
This nationally recognised single-unit course gives occupants who need to be 'emergency aware' in their facility the skills, knowledge and confidence to identify and, where possible, prevent the development of emergency situations — and to minimise the consequences if one occurs.
Participants learn to communicate with team members and stakeholders, identify the emergency protection systems and equipment present in a facility, and identify, monitor and report situations that reduce their effectiveness or could lead to an emergency.
Additional information
Participants must have the physical capacity to complete all practical demonstrations, including conducting routine checks and using communications equipment.
Enrolment is made with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. Please refer to the Student Handbook on the RTO website (allenstraining.com.au) for all details relating to your rights and responsibilities, including complaints and appeals.
This is a nationally recognised unit with formal written and practical assessment; all tasks must be completed satisfactorily to be issued the Statement of Attainment.
Practical performance tasks:
identify emergency protection systems and equipment;
and identify and report an impaired emergency protection system.
Documentation: complete a fire safety checklist and a report of findings. A written theory assessment (multiple-choice and short-answer) must also be completed in full.
On-site sessions are practical, site-specific, and tailored to your facility's emergency procedures and evacuation diagrams.
Training facility sessions accommodate groups of up to 20 participants. Group sizes and session durations are listed in the course details above.
