Chief Warden Training
Prepares nominated Chief Wardens, Deputy Chief Wardens and Communications Officers to lead the Emergency Control Organisation during an incident — making decisions, coordinating communications, managing evacuations, and supporting emergency services. Site-focused and practical.
Course overview
Chief Warden Training equips your nominated Chief Wardens, Deputy Chief Wardens and Communications Officers to lead your Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) with confidence during an incident.
The session builds the practical decision-making and coordination skills these senior roles rely on: assessing a developing situation, directing the response, coordinating internal and external communications, managing a safe and orderly evacuation, and liaising with attending emergency services.
Delivered on-site and tailored to your building, the training works through your own emergency procedures and evacuation diagrams so the team practises in the environment they'll actually respond in. It aligns with AS 3745 (Planning for emergencies in facilities) and supports your wider emergency planning obligations.
Ideal for newly appointed wardens stepping into a leadership role, or experienced wardens refreshing their skills and staying current with the site's procedures.
